&&& 1. Sum Over Eigenstates Hello, and welcome to Volunteer Here by Underscore Eleven Thirty Four. This album was written, recorded, mixed, and mastered by myself During the month of February 2012. While listening to this album, you may be compelled to try certain things That seem unfamiliar to you. If you notice a strong Inclination to perform any of the following actions, please Stop listening to the album and complete the activity to your satisfaction: *** Participate in urban agriculture projects Brew your own beer, wine, or cider, or ferment your own kombucha tea Build a geodesic dome Go to city council meetings and participate in public comment Join a book club or reading group Start a collective project space or a tool library Teach astrophysics to children Learn how to take apart and repair your bicycle or automobile Own up to transgressions you've made against others and ask for forgiveness Draw subversive comic books Make your own zine and find a distribution channel Reformat your PC hard drive and install a version of linux to your liking with TOR and truecrypt Permaculture Plant a vegetable and herb garden Create huge paper-mache puppets lampooning corrupt public officials Make friends with art gallery owners, DJs, bakery workers, janitors and people who clean grease-traps Familiarize yourself with principles of effective nonviolent direct action Volunteer at local after-school youth organizations, animal shelters or hospitals Make gifts for your familty and friends rather than buying them Donate canned goods to a food pantry sometime besides Thanksgiving or help your city's chapter of Food not Bombs, starting one if it doesn't exist Grow your own oyster mushrooms with pasteurized straw stuffed into trash bags Learn a programming language or two. Python for ease-of-use & applicability, or Arduino if you want to try your hand at 3D-printing or battling robots Compost your food scraps Skill yourself in operationally precise and gender-neutral language Participate in local elections, carefully vetting the candidates and ballot initiatives. Vote out all incumbent squares. Install solar panels on your house Travel to areas affected by natural disasters and help the locals rebuild their communities. Build raised garden beds in a vacant lot and clean garbage from the area Explore your surroundings and get vitamin D from sunlight Embrace non-heteronormative relationships Cancel your credit cards and move your money to a credit union. Confront and scrutinize the gaping chasm of privilege that separates you from the starving masses Confront and scrutinize the systemic horrors which keep people poor, dependent, and war-ravaged at the benefit of other bodies Confront and scrutinize the military-industrial-prison-agricultural complex and the two-tiered justice system that reinforces it Confront and scrutinize the egregious lapse in morality of governments and media conglomorates the world over *** If at any point while listening to this album, you feel wronged or offended, please feel free to delete it from your computer. Give it to a friend. You may even wish to recycle physical copies or spray paint them and use them for home decor. In private, pretend like we never met, but wave hello the next time we see one another on the street.

The abyss divides the more that you let it there's no such thing as pauper DNA Waiting for the drop while the boss is closing shop and the boots go clomp clomp on your face A final final dollar for a head rush on the asphalt a contour integration around a pole in your damaged brain We offer no elegy for the severed connection, sell your destruction back to you for a price you're bound to pay And all the time, water reorganizes And all in time, we'll seek our own level As a function of time people tend not to get less fucked up Happy trails, the chalice and the styrofoam cup The abyss inside they call it a wealth gap and wealth is not minted, it's made With impassioned intent, reasoned ascent integrity tills the geometry of space You can't solve addictions with Green's functions, are you kidding? You can't solve anything with the handful of sawdust you're holding The dialogue's so schitzophrenic disengagement's the only rational option It's all up in my Hamiltonian, shitting out polystyrene And all the time, water reorganizes And all in time, we'll seek our own level As a function of time people tend not to get less fucked up Happy trails, the chalice and the styrofoam cup Love is a two-center integral over a real-space mesh dr, dr' with boundary conditions appropriate Derivation of the integrand is left as an exercise to the interested listener

We want to be savvy, we want to reskill Cause all of these compounds are making us ill Heavy excavators and water in flames well it's zapped all our agency over this space You like building stuff with your hands, yeah ok and living on your energy income by day Instead of burn burn burning your savings away in a chemically irresponsible way This moment is a saddle-point on display in a strongly-correlated hypersurface We don't want a bigger piece, we want a different pie To reskill and resurface, to give ourselves a try You are the process you are attuned You are the impetus to recalibrate soon We want to be verdant, we want to be swell We want to be sustainable, able and well So gather your friends and some books in this space And we'll organize, remember, obtest and retrace We want to be savvy we want to reskill Cause all of these structures are making us ill Local resiliance not urban decay It's returning our agency over over this space fall in You like seeing results? You like tensegrity? You like starting from scratch? Infinite customizability This moment is a saddle-point on display in a strongly-correlated hypersurface We don't want a bigger piece, we want a different pie To reskill and resurface, to give ourselves a try

Jubilee Year 02:40
Power corrupts and all this work for what? To shuffle around the debt these zeroes buoyant yes and What's green and has no friends? Or no natural predators or natural ends? This is a jubilee year, cut the corners from your fields Cut the corners from your checks, the wounds will rightly heal To burn the dossier and interest runaway You can volunteer here, this is a jubilee year The markets are bust and I've got a job, so what? Time spent not producing or consuming and your brain is a reducing organ What's round and seeks its own? A pleasantry of epicycles, tapestry of gnomes This is a jubilee year, cut the corners from your fields Cut the corners from your checks, the wounds will rightly heal Austerity unmade, and debts will go unpaid You can volunteer here, this is a jubilee year All up on some self-interested grunt To determine the economic value of an emanation body of the sun Let me give you a hint this time When you have a certain temperature the entropy's defined This is a jubilee year, cut the corners from your fields Cut the corners from your checks, the wounds will rightly heal To burn the dossier and interest runaway You can volunteer here, this is a jubilee year Spirit of '49 Spirit of the octet Spirit of the reset Attention intention contention exemption Certainly it'd require a coup And there'd be an awful lot of paperwork to do To release the wrongly bound And develop a perfect resonant sound This is a jubilee year, cut the corners from your fields Cut the corners from your checks, the wounds will rightly heal Austerity unmade, and debts will go unpaid You can volunteer here, this is a jubilee year

Occupahedron 02:21
Panopticon I was quietly reading when the eye was turned on In three acute angles, the city, we, the state The world we deserve to rehabilitate Triangles inside triangles Triangles inside triangles in triangles in triangles in time Real talk is my occupahedron Real ways are my subspace projetors The real line is the 0% Real talk is my occupahedron Applause, applause To know one another and champion a cause It's mythic abrogation, an ordinary tale Is six septillion kilograms too big to fail? Triangles inside triangles Triangles inside triangles in triangles in triangles in time Real talk is my occupahedron Real ways are my subspace projetors The real line is the 0% Real talk is my occupahedron

Risa Sonrisa 03:46
To be afforded the privilege of having you in my life With all the work that you do and painted premonitions Your sum-over-histories traces milennia back And it invokes Antigone with solidarity diffusion Have, to have, to have it all Cause wholeness is fairness and trumps protocol Have, to have, to have it all it's tension-releasing, it's co-actioneering Have, to have, to have it all it's symmetry-breaking cause I chose this body Have, to have, to have it all And no one is free while the progress is stalled Risa, sonrisa Risa, sonrisa Grita, que linda Grita, la misma Holding over from ages past Zombie structures, full contrast [VINDICATION] To expect a proclamation honoring that... Risk and receipt foreknowledge conceit distrust Despite your discomfort, slavery's a reality Despite your discomfort, reality is kicking over emergence of a global culture Risa, sonrisa Risa, sonrisa Grita, que linda Grita, la misma To be afforded the privilege of knowing you exist Over great distance in spite of desperate condition So let's sum our voices cause such a silence is crass And remove this malady with solidarity diffusion Have, to have, to have it all Cause wholeness is fairness and trumps protocol Have, to have, to have it all it's tension-releasing, it's co-actioneering Have, to have, to have it all it's symmetry-breaking cause I chose this body Have, to have, to have it all And no one is free while the progress is stalled Risa, sonrisa Risa, sonrisa Grita, que linda Grita, la misma

The best minds of my generation are figuring out how to make you click links And cancelling out all the obelisk inscriptions written in light On your jewel-encrusted, proto-conscious Entertained into oblivion face And you shouldn't be ashamed cause everybody's all up in the Entertained into oblivion face race Until we come upon an errant tangent I'm Entertained into oblivion Entertained into oblivion Entertained into oblivion So, whatcha know? Oh, another show? But That is not objective reality That is not objective reality The engine that spurs civilization is gobbling up all the little objects it meets And flashing sidereels disrupt this conversation Engendering nothing but scaring you out of your Entertained into oblivion skin And sometimes I feel it's not quite so bad to be Entertained into oblivion Entertained into oblivion Entertained into oblivion So, are you still on? Yeah, but the will's mostly gone but That is not objective reality That is not objective reality What's the meaning of objective reality I don't want your objective reality Moved into formation it's inertia stable, or Entertained into oblivion A perturbation, second-order there's someone on it outside Entertained into oblivion Entertained into oblivion I'm trying not to be so affected on way or another and keep my goals in mind Instruction's important and socializing's necessary I live in the moment but still feel inevitably Entertained into oblivion Entertained into oblivion Entertained into oblivion Oh, that's the crux! To be entertained by the things we love Do they encode the neural ensemble enclosing The concept of you? Why or why not? Some fleeting distractions, a million pictures of cats I'm not even laughing just bored with this chaff Until then, I'm entertained into oblivion yeah entertained into oblivion

Not long ago some shit popped off And we eked out a meager cough We know shit The shit tide's coming in The big dogs keep hassling me Legitimate authority? And I ask rhetorically, Legitimate authority? All hands on deck Shit waves, waves of shit Shit grenade, shit monsoon Shits of the round, shit typhoon And now today the shit's backed up No one wants to touch shitty stuff We'll fix shit Come fix shit with us The big dogs keep hassling me Legitimate authority? And I ask rhetorically, Legitimate authority? Batten down the hatches Shit grenade, shit monsoon Shits of the round, shit typhoon
